Thread: [Missing Rare] - Nagidna

    Default [Missing Rare] - Nagidna

    I do not have a skull on my map (and minimap) for the Rare NPC Nagidna. See attached screenshots. He is near Slivermaw (the skull symbol on my minimap). He is in another cave then Slivermaw, but on the same isle. The Second screenshot shows the entrance of the cave for Nagidna.

    I have had a quick look in the NPC data file and can confirm that this rare is not recorded.

    There's a lot involved with adding this information, this is not required and you can wait out for the next update for this info to be added. I strongly urge to wait out for the next update, there's too many files needing to be updated and a lot can go wrong.

    If you want to add this to your data file for now you can do this.

    1. Exit World of Warcraft completely.
    2. Use Notepad ++ you can download it here
    3. Open NPCJournalFrame/NPCJournalFrameData.lua
      If the icon in the tab is greyed out, right click on the tab and select 'Clear Read-Only Flag'.
    4. Find line: 810, at the end of that line hit enter.
    5. Paste in the 'code' I posted above and then save the file.

    Next we will need to add the skull icon on the map and minimap.

    1. Open file ExtendedTrackingPoints.lua
    2. Find line: 6697, at the end of that line, hit enter.
    3. Paste this line:
      Code:
      "R:59.0,89.0:85555::", --Nagidna
    4. Save the file

    Dugi can you find and insert the location 1 or 2, if there is one?

    Next we will need to tell the guides to give the name "Nagidna" to this npcid.

    1. Open file Localization/NPCs_enUS.lua
      Or the file that suites your game language eg. NPCs_ruRU.lua
    2. Find line: 17687, at end of that line, hit enter.
    3. Paste this line:
      Code:
      [85555] = "Nagidna",
    4. Save the file

    Dugi will see this post and he will add all of this to the repository so it will be included in the next update.
