In-Game Support (Customer Service/Game Masters)

Who the Game Masters are: The Game Masters are people, like you and me, who provide basic assistance for various in-game issues. Despite what you may hear, the Game Masters are real people, and many of them play World of Warcraft. Please do not be confused, though, they are human; as such, they are prone to having a possibility of an error in assisting you. Don’t let one simple error dissuade you from seeking assistance from them again.

Primary Functions: The Game Masters can provide various assistance to many in-game issues. They cannot, however, fix technical problems. They’re not rained for this. For this, it would be best to contact Technical Support. What type of in-game issues? Well, they can help with things such as being unable to get loot off of a monster in an instance, or resetting a quest NPC who has decided to take a temporary leave of absence. They’re also able to provide assistance with players who aren’t quite able to follow the in-game policies/Terms of Use.

Please note that they will not be able to assist you in all in-game issues. Some of them aren’t able to be fixed either due to technical difficulties (patch related issues) or because of policy restrictions. If you feel that any of the policies should be changed, please feel free to make a post in the Suggestions Forum in order to let the developer’s know how you feel. They will not respond due to legal technicalities, but they will read your posts and take them into consideration.

Methods of Contact: There are various means of contacting the Game Masters. The primary way that you can contact them is through submitting an in-game petition/ticket. It’s essentially a message that you send to the Game Masters, in-game, concerning the issue(s) that you have. If you do submit an in-game petition, there are many fields that you can put your ticket in. If you’re unsure of which field, put it in any of them. The Game Master will still be able to help you with your issue, even if it doesn’t fall under the field that you sent your ticket in under.

To submit an in-game ticket, please look at the bottom right side of your user interface to find a red “?”, then click the red question mark. After you have selected the red question mark, look at the bottom left of the box for a window that states “Open a Ticket”. Once you have done this, you will be given various fields to use for your issue. Please select the most accurate one.

You may also contact the Game Master Department through their email address as (wowgm@blizzard.com). This email address acts exactly as an in-game ticket. Please note that you will be unable to send an email to this address and receive assistance unless you send it from the account’s registered email address. If you wish to submit feedback about a Game Master who has assisted you, please email (wowgmfeedback-us@blizzard.com).

There is another method available to you, although it’s an alternative to an in-game ticket or to the email address provided above. This is the Customer Service Forum, which is moderated by Game Masters. They state that the function of the forum is as follows: “That said, we encourage you to browse this forum and share any thoughts, questions, or concerns you may have as they relate to the Game Master Department and the services we provide.” If you wish to review this forum or post in it, please go to (http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=965509092&sid=1).
