Daily quests (popularly nicknamed dailies) are repeatable quests first introduced in patch 2.1. These quests have significantly better rewards than normal repeatable quests. Patch 2.2.0 saw the introduction of more daily quests for seasonal events. In Patch 2.3 new daily quests were introduced for instances, battlegrounds and cooking.
Restrictions
You may complete up to 25 daily quests per day per character. The day is considered to start and end at 1 AM PST (Blizzard time; server time varies according to time zone), although this time can vary on occasion. (NB: Daily quests reset at 3 AM CET, 2 AM GMT, on the European servers.) You can double-check by mousing over the daily quests completed out of 25 in the upper-right corner of your quest log. Prior to Patch 2.4 there was a limit of 10 daily quests per day.
Often, a quest chain needs to be completed first to unlock the quest. All daily Skyguard, Ogri'la, and Netherwing quests require level 70 and require a flying mount. Netherwing daily quests require the artisan (epic flying) riding skill, although not an epic mount.
There are a maximum of 45 daily quests available to a player at any one time (when all have been unlocked). This does not count seasonal events.
Below is a list of all daily quests ordered by faction and location.
Honor Hold / Thrallmar
Sha'tari Skyguard
The Sha'tari Skyguard are an air wing of the Sha'tar of Shattrath City, defending the capital from attackers in the hills as well as battling against the arakkoa of Terokk in the peaks of Skettis. The Skyguard has two outposts, one in the northern reaches of the Skethyl Mountains and one near Ogri'la. Players start out at neutral standing with the Skyguard.
To access dailies begin with
[70] Threat From Above from Yuula in Shattrath City
Skettis, Terokkar Forest
Ogri'la
The Ogri'la are a faction of ogres in the Blade's Edge Mountains, where their proximity to [Apexis Crystal] has allowed them to evolve past their brutish nature. They are currently fighting a war against both the Black Dragonflight and the Burning Legion, who seek the Apexis Crystals for their own purposes.
In order to access the main quests at Ogri'la itself, a player must first complete the 5 group quests from Mog'dorg the Wizened.
Quest Chain:
Ogri'la, Blade's Edge Mountains
- After prerequisite Gronn killing quests
- After honored and prerequisite quests
Sha'tari Skyguard and Ogri'la shared quests
Netherwing
The Netherwing are a faction of dragons located in Outland. The unusual brood was spawned from the eggs of Deathwing's black dragonflight, and infused with raw nether-energies. Now, they seek to find their identity beyond the shadows of their father's destructive heritage.
Reputation
Players are introduced to the Netherwing faction at 0/36000 hated reputation, and must be exalted to receive a Netherwing Drake. The quest chain and reputation grind is a mostly solo endeavor involving quests that can only be completed once daily, a 5-player group quest on the way to neutral, and daily 3-player group quests after reaching revered. A flying mount is required for this reputation grind, and 300 riding skill is necessary to advance past neutral.
Hated to Neutral
Level 70 players will begin their journey to exalted reputation by picking up the quest chain offered by Mordenai, a blood elf wandering the surface of the Netherwing Fields, in the southeast corner of Shadowmoon Valley. The quest chain begins with the quest Kindness. Completion of this quest line will provide an instant reputation boost to neutral and the choice of one of these five items.
Netherwing Ledge, Shadowmoon Valley
Reputation listed here goes towards the Netherwing faction.
A 300 riding skill (5000
) is required before doing Netherwing Daily Quests (the actual very fast mount is optional, but recommended), but the Hated to Neutral questline can be done with the slow flying mount/riding skill.
- After neutral and prerequisite quests
- After friendly and prerequisite quests
- After honored and prerequisite quests
- After revered and prerequisite quests
* For characters with multiple gathering professions, only one of these three may be completed per day.

Shattered Sun Offensive
The Shattered Sun Offensive storyline is unique in WoW as far as gameplay is concerned, as most quests are added or removed based on the completion of server-wide objectives. These objectives typically flow in the form of "phases," with a total of four main phase objectives (focused around the reclamation of major locations on the Isle) and four creation-oriented objectives (focused around collecting resources in order to create new, beneficial additions to the Isle). As servers complete objectives, new NPCs and quests will become available progressively leading towards full reclamation of the Isle. All quests are available at neutral reputation with the Shattered Sun Offensive, and while most quests take place solely on the Isle, a few involve activities elsewhere in Outland.
All quests marked with a star (*) are temporary daily quests. These quests will only be active during their respective phases and prior to certain conditions being met. Once the intended objective percentage reaches 100% have been completed, they will be replaced with permanent equivalents - identical to their preceedings, but available forever! A summary of all permanent daily quests that will be available once the Isle is completely reclaimed can be found at the bottom of this guide.
