The only real advantage to specialization is that it allows you to make two pieces of cloth from one set of mats. The crafted epics are for the most part a waste of time as the time you spend waiting on the 4 day cool down can be spent running random heroics for tokens that can be spent on your tier sets which far surpass the crafted items.
The old specialization of shadoweave is the prereq for ebonweave, spellfire is for spellweave and mooncloth is for moonshroud. Of the three types, Ebonweave cloth and the robe and gloves made from it are of more value to Warlocks than the other two types. Generally speaking, Spellweave is a Mage item and Moonshroud is used for healer gear. The only time I would say the crafted items are good is when you have the patterns well before you hit 80 so that you can have the items waiting and equip them as soon as you hit 80. So if you have any other casters in the works, start saving your cloth. On the flip side the cloth usually sells for +/- 100g per piece on the AH so I would check the prices. You won't get rich selling it but every little bit helps =) |

I'll also add that I find tailoring to be more useful for making stuff to disenchant than for actually making gear to use for the most part.
For me personally the top three uses are: 1. Making items to disenchant 2. Making bags 3. Making gear to use and/or sell ** ** Make sure you get exalted with Kirin Tor and the Argent Crusade so you can get the sapphire and brilliant spellthread embroidery patterns that can be used on other peoples gear. |

You only need 4 pieces of tier to get the bonuses.. some of the craftable pieces are BiS if you don't raid 25 man content.
That being said it will only help you in gathering the cloth mats for these items. |

BiS is short for Best in Slot
Whats a tier set? Well there's a long and a short answer, here's the short one ![]() A specific, matched set of clothing for a specific class of character that has stats and bonuses that compliment that class. |

hi! Is there a way to change the specialization from one to another ? I mean without dropping tailoring and leveling it one more time.
Thanks for the answers

yeah you can change specialties, visit the specialization trainers in Shattrath. Just be sure to bring some gold as it can cost as much as 150g to unlearn it. Then you have to spend 20g to learn a new one.
