I wish I could tell you. I have never had a problem with the updater on either of my computers. Hope you get it figured out.

I had this issue and it would also just hang when starting up. Try running it compatibility mode for either Vista or XP. I used both and it worked. It was just with Win7 it was having issues for some reason - not sure why.

I am running Win7 64bit.

stuck at logging in currently however it took like 5-10 min just to display all the info in the top or which guides i own . I's actually been doing this for a few days

I had this same issue until I changed my Java from 7 back to 6 then the installer worked like a charm

It should work with the latest version of Java 7 both 32 and 64 bit. Its still a mystery as to why it doesn't work for some people.

Most common issue is security software blocking the installer from running, make sure you whitelist the file with any firewall or AV software.
