Thread: Serious Midsummer issue

    Default Serious Midsummer issue

alright so I reinstalled it 3 times, didn't change anything, I tried reloading it in game before I'd manual click.

As soon as I manually click next it crashes wow, but it won't actually crash it just kinda freezes and forces me to Alt F4

I got to the Draenei blood isles and tagged the flame and the guide was working fine right up till that, then it froze, logged back it and the guide had gone back to uldum, and if I try to manual click it, it freezes up my wow.

btw where do I uninstall dugi guide installed/addon I didn't see it in Programs list.

I think there is an issue if you tick the boxes too fast that the addon didnt get enough time to dump the memory, try ticking slower or tick on the small frame only. We will fix this asap.

I'm having this same problem using 5.6002, starting when I desecrated the Bloodmyst Isle flame - any action involving the guide now causes WoW to freeze up, forcing me to end the process in Task Manager.

e: I've now managed to fix this by Repairing in the installer/updater and manually ticking the ones I'd done in the small frame.

Same thing happened to me on Bloodmyst Isle flame. Tried to repair by reinstall in updater but didn't work. Now the only way to prevent wow freezing is to turn off guide (in addons menu) for that character. Have opened a ticket but haven't heard back from support yet. It would be nice if the installer contained a "reset" option for use when /dg reset can't be used.

@steveinottawa: If you mean '/dugi fix' (/dugi reset - resets the position of the frames), then there's an alternative option, but the downside is, you need to log out/close the game.

This resets the SavedVariables of the guide totally to a first time downloaded state. I guess I'm a nerd because I always install the guide manually. If I want to blame it on bugs, then I want to be sure the guide is freshly installed

It's not really needed though, since /dugi fix should be enough .. I'm just thorough
