Default Java 7 and Dugi installer 1.07

    Hello,

I'd like to report a problem between Dugi installer 1.07 and Java version(s) 7.
I've had the same problem as some other members experienced.

When I reinstalled my pc (new HD and new Windows 7 64bit installation, fully updated with latest SP pack and updates), I experienced a problem when starting the Dugi Installer 1.07.
It kept hanging and then after a couple of minutes it ended with the following error:

    java.lang.IndexOutOfBoundsException: Index: 0, Size: 0

The only way to get 1.07 to work was by de-installing all of the Java 7 versions on the pc and then manually downloading and installing the latest Java 6 versions again.
(I got them from this location: http://www.java.com/en/download/manual_v6.jsp and choose this version: Windows 7, XP Offline (32-bit))

When I did this it worked again. But when I installed the Java 7 version again (leaving version 6 on the pc) it broke again. I've also tried it with only the Java 7 version installed, as it was at first, but it didn't work either.

The problem is that I need the Java 7 for some other addons in my Firefox browser and now that's giving me a nagging warning all of the time.

Is this is problem with Java or is it something in the DG 1.07 installer?
Many thanx for working it out.

    Cheers,
    Magneto

I have tested on both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of windows 7 and cannot detect any problems using Java 7 Update 5

    Ok thx for the testing.

I'll continue to see if there's something else blocking the installer.
For now I have no other option as to revert back to Java 6 to get it to work, or to manually update.

    Cheers

Are you using any type of security software?
Including Windows Firewall and Windows Defender?
You may need to whitelist our launcher to allow it to connect to our servers

Might be a stupid question but have to ask. Since you removed Java v7 update 5 did you reinstall it? Only going by what you said here. Sorry.
