New Leveling Guide File Format

I'd just like to notify you of the change of file format for our leveling guide,

We decide to split the leveling to 3 different folder

1. Dugi's Guide - Viewer
2. Dugi's Guide - Alliance Data
3. Dugi's Guide - Horde Data

This is to make it easier for users add or remove additional guides as you will be able to select the specific guides in your addons menu.

When you have time I highly recommend you change to the new format becuase we have also recently made many bug fixes to the guide, as of 3rd March 2009

You can update to the new file format and latest version by

1. Deleting UltimateWoWGuide folder in your Interface/AddOns directory
2. And downloading the latest files inside the members area

IMPORTANT!

Since we have renamed the guide to make it shorter, you will loose current your progress. So please take note of the guides and steps that you have already done, then manually tick the files again.

Or you can manually renamed the SavedVariable file

1. Close World of Warcraft if you have it opened.

2. Open the folder
World of Warcraft\WTF\Account\<your account name>\SavedVariables\

3. Rename UltimateWoWGuide.lua to DugisGuide_Viewer.lua

4. Make sure spelling and use of capitals are correct.

nevermind i had a problem finding all the new downloads.. its working fine now

I watched your tutorial and deleted all other guides then reinstalled new version now I cant get your step by step window(lego) to come onto screen.

I have reinstalled twice now.

does the addons appear in the menu?

yes the addons are in the addon selection. The first version worked fine. Had some trouble getting viewer to show up.

Did you install the Data folders ?

Do you see

Dugi's Guide - Viewer
Dugi's Guide - Alliance En
Dugi's Guide - Horde En

in your addons selections

I found an old version still in addons. Once I deleted it all works well.

I installed the new guide and only TomTom and Questhelper appear when I click on the addons button at my character screen. The guide viewer and alliance and horde guides are in the addons folder on my computer. I did delete the old guide. Any suggestions?

If it doesn't appear in your addon menu, it is always because its not copied correctly, otherwise it will appear.

double check you have the correct interface/addons folder
double check that you have extracted the files correctly
