Change my username

Please open a ticket with account enquiry and submit a request to change your username.

My account information doesn’t work

Your account information is case sensitive, make sure you turn of your CAPS-LOCK button and type it EXACTLY as the one provided in your email.

Also make sure there are no additional ‘blank space’ at the beginning or at the end of your login details.

UltimateWoWGuide.com doesn’t answer any of my emails

We typically respond within 24 hours

If you’re not receiving any of our emails, it is likely that you’re email ISP are too restrictive with their Junk Mail control. Our emails may appear in your Junk (Spam) box, so make sure you check those.

Some times our emails can also be blocked completely and it won’t even appear in your Junk Mail.

To ensure that your questions and emails are being answered please use our Ticket Support system and submit a new Ticket. This way your ticket are tracked and viewable online.

Addon & Guide Usage Questions (6)

Dugi Guides appears in the addon menu and ticked but it doesn’t work

  1. Make sure you have the latest version installed, check the download page
  2. Enter the In your chat window, try typing ‘/dugi reset’
  3. If that still doesn’t work

    try ‘/dugi fix’

    followed by ‘/reload’

  4. Try disabling all your addons and play with only DugiGuidesViewer and to see if the problem persists, then enable your addons one at a time to find the conflict.

Dugi Guides doesn’t remember my progress after exiting the game

This can happen if your game crashed or don’t exit the game properly by clicking logout or exit game.

Proper log out or game exit is essential for a WoW addon to save any changed settings.

Don’t close your game by clicking the Window close button or pressing ALT-F4 and Dugi Guides should save your progress.

If that didn’t resolve your issue, please note the guide and step name that gets unticked and submit a ticket and report.

Lost Dugi Guides small frame and/or waypoint arrow

  1. Enter the game and press enter to open the chat bar
  2. Type ‘/dugi reset’ to reset the position of all frames

Dugi Guides won’t reset for one of my character

If the guide will  refuse to reset if you used Dugi Guides with another character in the same realm and under the same name which can sometimes happened when user transfer a character or renamed their character.

To fix this

  1. Enter the game and press enter to open the chat bar and type ‘/dugi fix’
  2. followed by ‘/reload’

This will reset Dugi Guides completely to a fresh install state.

Where is the Loremaster guide?

The loremaster guides are listed as additional guides in the Leveling Guide tab. You should see a lot of extra guides in that tab with (xx-xx Lore) next to it after installing the Loremaster & Dungeon Guides.

Dugi waypoint arrow Is Inaccurate

Since the addition of Dugi built in waypoint arrow it is critical that every user ensure that their guides is also updated and not just the addon itself.

Make sure that you’re guides are updated by checking that you have entered your username name and password and click the repair button, otherwise it will only install Dugi Addons without the updated guides.

If the guides is not update the waypoint arrow is unable to place waypoint correctly and it will instead place it in the current zone.

eg if you are trying to use the Stormpeak guide while in the Zul’Drak zone all the waypoints will display in Zul’Drak.

or if you’re inside a mine and press ‘m’ your current map turns into Northrend (or other world) Zone map, and the addon will use that as the current map. Which could lead you to an entirely different zone.

To resolve this issue you must ensure that your guides are updated

please follow the steps below

  1. Delete the folder World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\DugisGuideViewerZ
  2. Enter the game and check that DugiGuides no longer exist in your addons menu.
  3. Make sure wow is closed and run the installer
  4. Click on the settings button on the installer
  5. Enter your username and password.
  6. Check that the World of Warcraft installation path is correct in the settings menu.
  7. Click ok and click the repair button.
  8. Enter the game and type ‘/dg fix’ followed by /reload

this should reset your guide and ensure that you have the latest addons and guides installed.

Installation Questions (6)

Dugi installer not launching – Unable to run installer

If the installer you downloaded will not launch when you double click on it, follow these steps:

  1. Make sure you add an exception with your Anti Virus/Spyware Software (if any) to allow the program to run. DugiGuides.exe installer is guaranteed to be Virus and Spyware free,  click here to view the Virus Total test result for http://www.ultimatewowguide.com/download/DugiGuides.exe
  2. If that still doesn’t work try disabling your AVS software completely.
  3. Make sure you have the latest version of Java and any older versions have been removed.
    The best way to ensure you have a clean java instillation, is to follow the steps at this link:

  4. Once the uninstall is complete, simply double click the installer and it should ask you to install Java.
  5. Make sure any previous version (if any) of the installer are deleted.
  6. Make sure you have Administrator access for Windows and allow the installer to run in Admin Mode.

Dugi Guides Stays OFF

This will happen if you still have old guides from Dugi 4 installed in your AddOns folder or if you don’t have the latest version installed.

All of the guides from Dugi 4 are incompatible with Dugi 5 and it will create an error if you don’t update your entire guides.

  1. Make sure your username and password is entered in the settings menu of Dugi Guides Installer and click reinstall.If that doesn’t work you will have to do a fresh install of Dugi Guide
  2. Delete the entire DugisGuideViewerZ folder in
    World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\DugisGuideViewerZ
    and reinstall the guide.
  3. Enter the game and it should work, if it still doesn’t work try typing ‘/dugi fix’ in the chat bar and log out.

Make sure your username and password is entered in the settings menu of Dugi Guides Installer and click reinstall.

Please follow these instruction if you have trouble installing

  1. Download the latest version 1.0.5

If you still have problems please contact ticket support and provide as much information as you can, a screenshot of your WoW path and the path that you have entered in the settings menu is a great help.

Addon button missing in character select screen

You may have the incorrect path in our installer for your world of warcraft

  1. Right click on your world of warcraft shortcut in your desktop and select properties
    under target it should display the path to your world of warcraft folder
  2. eg C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Launcher.exe (your path could be different)
  3. Load the installer and click on the settings button
  4. Enter the path C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\ for the first box
  5. Enter C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft\Launcher.exe   for the 2nd box
  6. Enter your username and password and click ok
  7. Click the repair button and wait for it to install.

Typical installation path for Mac is (make sure you add / at the end)

Install Path: /Applications/World of Warcraft/ 
Launcher Path: /Applications/World of Warcraft/World of Warcraft Launcher.dmg

Unable to install the paid guides – only see trial 1-20 guides in the game

Follow the instruction below if you have already installed the trial 1-20 guides and need to install your paid guides.

  1. Load Dugi Guides installer available in the download page
  2. Click on the Settings button
  3. Enter your ultimatewowguide.com username and password
  4. Click the Ok button and your paid guides should be listed in the ‘Account’ window on the left hand side of the installer.
  5. Make sure WoW is closed and click the Repair button to reinstall Dugi Guides and your paid guides

Corrupt Zip Files – Unable to open downloaded Zip file

This is a common problem with Internet Explorer, try using another browser or follow these step to fix the problem http://support.microsoft.com/kb/308090

To work around this problem, use the following procedures.

For case 1:
Before you download, make sure that the Confirm open after download option is selected. To verify this:

  1. Click Start, point to Settings, and then click Control Panel.
  2. Double-click Folder Options.
  3. Click the File Types tab.
  4. Scroll down to and click the .zip extension.
  5. Click Advanced.
  6. Verify that Confirm open after download is selected.


For case 2:

  1. Click the hyperlink, and then click Save or Save this file to disk in the File Download dialog box that appears.
  2. In the Save As dialog box, specify a location to save the file to (for example, Desktop), and then click Save.
  3. When the download is finished, open the .zip file, and then extract the files that are contained in it.

How to delete Dugi Guides and other addOns

  1. In your computer, open the folder World of Warcraft\Interface\AddOns\
  2. Delete the folder DugisGuideViewerZ or any other addons you wish to remove.

The /dg command no longer works

We have recently changed the /dg command to /dugi instead to fix localization issue and conflict with other addons.

To use these commands enter the game and press enter to open your chat bar and type…

/dugi reset – Will reset all frames to the default position

/dugi fixfollowed by a logout,  will delete all your Saved Variable to reset the guide completely, which will fix the issue with the guide skipping ahead or ticking quests that you haven’t completed yet.  This should be followed by a loging out of the game to ensure complete reset.

Model Viewer doesn’t work with my paid guides

You will need to purchase the Model Viewer Database for $7 in My Account area.

Once you have purchased the The Model Viewer Database it will be included automatically as part of your download for your account.

  1. Download the installer in the members area
  2. Load the Dugi Guides Installer and click Reinstall
  3. Or you can use the manual download link.

Once you have purchased the Model Viewer Database you will need to load the installer and click reinstall.

I have just purchased and but I only have the trial 1-20 guides

  1. Check that guides are in your account by clicking the ‘My Account‘ link
  2. If it is, load the Dugi Guides Installer and click reinstall.
  3. If you have purchased and the guide doesn’t appear in your account please contact Ticket Support

LUA error after upgrading to Dugi 5

All of the guides from Dugi 4 are incompatible with Dugi 5 and it will create an error if you don’t update your entire guides.

Interact with target doesn’t move my character

Interact with target have a limited range of about 40yd and for it to move your character you will need to enable ‘Click to move’ in WoW Game Menu > Interface > Mouse

Dugi Guides Slow With Carbonite (Crashes or Freeze)

If you are experiencing low FPS to the point where it locks up your game and crashes, chances are, you have your game minimap integrated with the carbonite minimap.

Follow these steps to resolve that issue.

  1. Disable carbonite and enable Dugi Guides and enter the game.
  2. Go to Dugi Guides > Settings > Maps and set Miniblobs to “None”
  3. Logout enable Carbonite and enter the game.

Will it work for my OS?

Dugi Guides will work on ANY operating system that can play World of Warcraft. The only requirement for our guides is World of Warcraft itself.

However our installer currently only support Windows XP, Vista, 7 and Mac.  Other OS will have to install the files manually by downloading the Zip file.

Is this legal? Will my account get banned for using Dugi Guides?

Dugi Guides has been in business for over 4 years and not 1 customer has ever had their account banned for using our products.

A new AddOn policy was introduced by Blizzard back in May 2009 to prevent addons such as (Questhelper and Carbonite) in particular from advertising and selling a premium version addon directly inside World of Warcraft.
