How would you like to make 1000 – 3000 gold every 3 days and spending only 20 minutes per day (that is at least 1000g /hour)
This is possible by doing Argent Tournament Daily quests to collect 14
/day and every 3rd day you can buy a pet for 40
to resell in the Auction House to massive profits. These pets are not Bind on Pick up and they are selling at crazy prices check out the screen shot below from US Blackrock server.
Go ahead and check the pet section in your Auction House server today. Now that Cataclysm have arrived, old content like the Argent Tournament have been forgotten by many players and these pets have increased in value due to less players doing or even knowing about the Argent Tournament.. this means awesome gold opportunity for you. The Argent Tournament will require initial time invested for you to unlock all the dailies, but the rewards are well worth it, check out our Daily Quests Guide sales page for a list of Argent Tournament items that you can collect.
Cross faction pets will also generally sell for more, you can transfer your pet to the opposite faction by using the cross faction Auction House in Winterspring, Booty Bay or Gadgetzan then list it in the main city Auction House. As you can see from the screenshot above the [Elwynn Lamb] and [Dun Morogh Cub] are an Alliance Argent Tournament pet reward and are selling for more gold in the Horde Auction House.
With the help of our In-Game Daily Quests Guide, you can begin collecting at least 9
/day after 7 days. This is a run down on how to use our Argent Tournament guide to get all the rewards for yourself or for gold profit.
Purchasing Heirloom item with
is also the easiest way to go, for example a shoulder Heirloom only cost 60
(5-7 days worth of Dailies) vs 2200 Justice Points (Killing 29 Heroic 5 Man Dungeon Bosses) which is extremely tough for a lot of players.
| DAY 1 |
1. Begin with ‘Argent Tournament (78+ Pre-Quest)‘ guide to unlock the Aspirant Dailies.
2. Complete ‘Argent Tournament (Aspirant Dailies)‘ for 3 days to collect 15 [Aspirant Seals]
| DAY 3 |
3. After 3 Days of completing Aspirant Daily quests. You should now be able to complete the quest Up To The Challenge (H) and you will now unlock the Valiant Daily quests and represent your home <City> faction to represent.
The Valiant rank Daily quest series with provide you with the chosen <City> Reputation + Silver Covenant (Alliance) or Sunreaver (Horde) Reputation, you can choose any city that you like.
| Alliance | Horde |
| Darnassus (Night Elf) Ironforge (Dwarf) Gnomeregan (Gnome) Stormwind City (Human) The Exodar (Draenei) | Thunder Bluff (Tauren) Orgrimmar (Orc) Undercity (Undead) Senjin (Troll) Silvermoon (Blood Efl) |
You can now use the ‘Argent Tournament (Valiant Dailies)’ guide and complete the <City> Valiant rank Daily quests series for 5 Days to collect 25 [Valiant Seals] and become Champion of <City>
Check out the YouTube video below for a good tutorial on ‘How To Joust’ with Argent Tournament
| DAY 7 |
4. After 5 Days of completing Valiant Daily quests you should now be able to complete the quest The Valiant’s Charge to become a Champion for your chosen <City>.
Eg if you chose Ironforge you will receive the Achievement Champion of Ironforge and all you need to do now is to gain Exalted reputation with Ironforge to gain Exalted Champion of Ironforge achievement which is 1 of 6 achievement that you need for Crusader title Exalted Argent Champion of the Alliance
You will now unlock 3 Champion Daily quests, and be able to select another Valiant of <City> quest to become a Champion of another City.
5. Now you can complete the entire ‘Argent Tournament (78+ Pre-Quest)’ guide to unlock for 2 more Champion Daily quests.
6. Now you can select the ‘Argent Tournament (Champion Dailies)’ guide and begin receiving…
7. At the same time you can now begin 3 Valiant rank Daily quest series with a different <City> where you can receive
NOTE: There is actually another Valiant Daily quest where you can get reward for 2 more [Valiant Seals] BUT this quest only reward 250 rep for Silver Covenant (A) or Sunreaver (H) faction and doesn’t reward any <City> reputation. This quest requires a lot of travelling and it is a time waster as you will get an abundant amount of Silver Covenant (A) or Sunreaver (H) reputation already and reach Exalted in no time. These Valiant quests are only important for the 750 <City> reputation.
| DAY 16 |
8. By now you will now have another 25 [Valiant Seals] to turn in the quest The Valiant’s Charge and become a Champion of your second chosen <City> (Stormwind). But if you become a new champion you will stop receiving reputation point for the chosen the Valiant <City>, so I recommend switching Valiant quest AFTER you have reach Exalted status with your Valiant <City>. You can save your [Valiant Seals] for the next <City> to become Champion straight away without doing any Valiant Dailies, but you will likely need to do the quests for reputations first.
Note: you could also gain reputation for different <City> by using the Tabards and kill the bosses in Cataclysm dungeons.
9. Once you reach Exalted status with Silver Covenant (A) or Sunreaver (H) Reputation you will unlock 3 more Daily quests for 3
. You can now use the ‘AT (Champion + Exalted Sunreaver + Crusader Dailies)’ guide you can simply skip the Crusader Daily quests until you unlock it.
10. Once you reach Exalted status with your chosen Valiant <City> turn in your 25 [Valiant Seals] and become a Champion where you will simultaneously receive Champion and Exalted Achievement and have access to the <City> Quartermaster.
11. And once you become a Champion of All the <City> and also reach Exalted status for all the Classic <City> reputation and also Exalted reputation with Argent Crusade you will receive the Crusader title and unlock 2 more Daily quests for 2
. Once you have become a Champion to all the Faction you won’t be able to complete anymore Valiant Daily Quests.
Total amount of
that you can earn per day are..
Note: You can also gain 3
/day by going Heroic Trial of Champion, however it will be hard to find a group for it at level 85 and it is not possible to solo because you won’t be able to pass the first Jousting phase on your own.
This is a good summary. AT dailies are my life! Good tip to delay turning in “The Valiant’s Charge” until you’re Exalted with the city, because it is harder to gain cross-city rep now with the loss of the Cloth quests and the phasing of starting zones.
I’d like to add a few points if I may.
* When you achieve Exalted Argent Champion of the Alliance/Horde (which gives you the Crusader title) you can buy the Argent Crusader’s Tabard, which teleports you to the AT grounds on a 30 minute cooldown. This is a great shortcut for the AT dailies run if you’re adventuring elsewhere in Azeroth.
* Many of the AT dailies benefit from custom macros if you have the patience to make them. “The Light’s Mercy,” for example, goes really fast if you have a little macro that says
/targetexact Slain Tualiq Villager
/use Confessor’s Prayer Book
and there are equivalents for five or six other AT quests. I keep these on a Bartender4 bar and use them to speed through the day.
* Two of the dailies – “Threat From Above” (where you kill the bone dragon Chillmaw and three Cultist Bombers) and “Battle Before the Citadel” (where you joust to kill 3 Boneguard Commanders) are difficult or annoying for a level 80 solo player. In the days of Wrath, you could say “LFG chill/cit” in Icecrown and get some help quickly, but now you’re usually on your own. The best solution is to level to 85. Then Chillmaw is easily soloable, and you even get more health on the horse.
* The description text for AT achievements and titles mentions “Every Alliance/Horde city,” but note that Worgen and Goblin cities/reputation are not part of the Argent Tournament. This could obviously change some day.
* On days when Crusader Silverdawn gives you “Get Kraken!” (a bombing run quest where you harpoon stuff) make sure you keep hitting the North Sea Kraken until “Kraken Tooth” drops. This starts a subquest “Identifying the Remains” that gives more gold/XP (but no more Champion’s Seals). Kraken is another quest that really benefits from “target/use” macros.
* I know that Dugi naturally focuses on gold making opportunities, but in my opinion nothing is more important for the AT Dailies than collecting enough Seals to get yourself a full set of Heirlooms. We never know when Blizzard is going to take this away, so budget your first 1,000 or so seals for heirlooms. Another 150 for the Argent Pony Bridle, which gives your Argent Squire/Gruntling pet (a quest reward for Champion) a mailbox/vendor/bank ability that can be useful in instances.
Thanks again for a cool guide Dugi.
Hey Dragonhawk,
Would you be willing to share some of your other macros with us? I love Dugi’s guides, but macros always seem to help, unfortunately I don’t use them nearly as much as I could and benefit from them, and so I don’t know how to write most of them. Any help would be awesome.
Yes sure. Name and icon these any way you like.
———-
For “A Blade Fit For A Champion,” you go to Ashwood Lake and kiss frogs until you find the Maid.
/use Warts-B-Gone Lip Balm
/target Lake Frog
/kiss
———-
For “Get Kraken!” you ride a hippogryph and hurl spears at two different targets.
/cleartarget
/targetexact North Sea Kraken
/targetexact Kvaldir Deepcaller
/use Flaming Spears
———
For “The Fate of the Fallen,” you collect 6 Discarded Soul Crystals and run/fly around freeing Fallen Hero’s Spirits.
/cleartarget
/targetexact Fallen Hero’s Spirit
/use Light-Blessed Relic
———
For “The Light’s Mercy,” you run around giving last rites to Tuskarr corpsicles.
/targetexact Slain Tualiq Villager
/use Confessor’s Prayer Book
———
For “Gormok Wants His Snobolds,” you run around trapping them.
/targetexact Snowblind Follower
/use Weighted Net
———
There are other quests (like “Breakfast of Champions”) that have quest items you use, but no special targeting needed. For those you don’t need a macro, just an addon like the very useful QuestItemBar that gives you a handy icon you can click to use the item.
Nice guide! I’ve actually being doing the argent tournament for a long time now, attempting to buy every heirloom I can with my champion seals. However, I’m somewhat confused as to how you get 15 champion seals? I’ve only been able to get 14 a day. Here’s my breakdown (keep in mind that some of these dailies are only available to people with their crusader title)
High Crusader Adelard: 1 champion seal
Crusader Silverdawn: 1 champion seal
(Alliance) Savinia Loresong or (Horde) Tylos Dawnrunner: 1 champion seal
(Alliance) Narasi Snowdawn or (Horde) Girana the Blooded: 2 champion seals
(Death Knights?) Crok Scourgebane or (Everyone else) Eadric the Pure: 5 champion seals with [Champion's purse]
(Everyone else) Luuri or (Death Knights?) Illyrie Nightfall: 2 champion seals with [Champion's purse]
(Everyone else) Cellian Daybreak or (Death Knights) Zor’be the Bloodletter: 2 champion seals with [Champion's purse]
Is there a daily quest I’m missing? Or is there a daily quest other then [Threat From Above] that gives you 2 champion seals that I missed?
Oh, I forgot to add –
* The other reason to level to 85 as soon as possible (it shouldn’t take more than a day or two) is that Blizzard made a terrible “panic nerf” in the early days of Cata and you no longer get any useful XP in Northrend starting at level 80. So cap your level and collect twice the gold instead.
* The four “outdoor quests” from Luuri, Eadric the Pure, and Cellian Daybreak give you a reward choice of “Champion’s Writ” or “Champion’s Purse.” The Writ can be exchanged for 250 city rep, while the Purse gives you 10 gold and an extra Champion’s Seal. You ALWAYS want to select the Purse!
* Remember that unlike Marks of the Valiant/Champion, which are stackable objects in your bag, Champion’s Seals are currency, like Justice Points or gold, and are deposited directly to your character. If you are heavily into these dailies, you might want to invest in a lightweight Currency addon that shows your current balance.
I think that’s finally it. ![]()
@Soda – the other 3 potential Champion’s Seals come as a reward from the Wrath instance Heroic Trial of the Champion. In the old days you’d easily get this if you did a few random heroics in the Dungeon Finder, but now you’ll probably need to organize your own group to do it.
I want to add, that you can solo low level dungeons with a city tabard to get more city rep of your choice (if you are not ready for HC dungeons). It’s a good option when you want to complete the “exalted with home cities” part. I have 3 crusader chars and currently creating 2 more. Before Cata, I went out to start zones to work on getting remaining reputation with quests. Not sure which is the bigger grind.
Just a note, you always have to the dailies for your homecity first. When you are done with your homecity, you will be able to choose between the remaining 4.
I dont know yet about worgens and goblins, since their homecities arent represented. I think Ive heard or read somewhere that it wont be possible for these to do anything but the aspirant dailies.
Right now Im waiting for a GM response on this.
wow its like Dragonhawk is better wowow
@Elertai – right now Goblins and Worgen cannot move past Aspirant stage in the Argent Tournament, so the gold and goodies in Dugi’s guide are off limits. However, I race changed my Human Crusader to Worgen at level 85 (for the cool PvE crit racial) and I kept my Crusader title and I can still do the AT dailies every day. So what I would suggest (if you have the spare dollars) is to wait until after you earn Crusader before turning Worgen or Goblin.
@ak – bite your tongue, Dugi is the man!! ![]()
The only way around it is to race change just to get pass Aspirant, and once you have the Valiant quest you can change back to Goblin or Worgen. You don’t have to wait until you’re all the way to Crusader.
Unfortunately the process will cost Worgen and Goblin players $50
. Don’t hold your breath for this to be fixed, a blue already confirmed that it will remain as it is, I don’t follow the lore but it has something to do with that aswell as it wouldn’t make sense for Worgen and Goblin faction to suddenly appear aswell for the Tournament.
They might fix it in the future so that Worgen & Goblin players can select any faction to represent after Aspirant (seems like a simple fix that wouldn’t hurt anyone)
Well this is more reason for you to farm Argent Tournament pets so Worgen and Goblin players can give you their gold ![]()
Aside from the novelty of doing a new starting zone (which is a lot of fun on a Goblin, but not much fun on a Worgen if you ask me) I can’t see the value in leveling either of the new races from 1 to 80-85. I would frankly rather roll a Vanilla/BC race, get a real mount when it’s time, level to 80 or 81, enjoy the Argent Tournament completely, and then race change to Worgen/Goblin for the end game. The racial bonuses are insignificant during leveling anyway. And when you change to a Cata race you get to keep your racial mount (as well as any mount you bought with Exalted rep). Just my opinion.
I was wrong, about the race change. I tested it with my goblin warrior and it once I reach champion I don’t get offered any more valiant quest from the other cities.
Change race after crusader it is… Blizzard is so lazy ![]()
I opened a ticket about this, and the GM I talked to, told me that this is a bug and will be changed in a patch! He didnt give me any dates or patch name/codes, so I have no idea when it will be fixed. But he told me I would be able to get the mounts I dont have by now ![]()
I think I love you, but I love your guides more, they are so specific to the bone. And it’s not a list oh bullcrap this can actually help.
Thank you for giving out these amazing guides Dugi, I’m sure we all love your guides ^_^
Man…I chose to change my race to soon…xD
While I have no problem with Blizz wanting to avoid having to program goblin and worgen city reps in the AT area, I do find it insulting that those two races are intentionally left out of the tourney post-Aspirant. I find it offensive for two main reasions:
- the tourney’s Champion’s Seals are the fastest way to get PvE heirloom gear for your leveling toons. While you may still purchase them using Justice points in Dal, it requires a LOT more time spent in instances than spent at the Tourney for the exact same items
- the tourney is the source of many acheivement points, all of which are inaccessible to new goblin & worgen toons
It is very easy to fix as well. Worgen are naturally aligned with Darnassus, while goblins are naturally aligned with Orgrimmar. If you don’t want to give them a free choice, then just assign them to their default physical cities.
Grrr….thanks for the info on the lockout. I just opened a ticket about that, but hadn’t heard anything. I guess I’ll wait til the patch comes out. Any way to annoy them to dropping it sooner?
It looks like they fixed the Worgen issue. You start with Darnassus as your home city (just did it on my Worgen).
One thing I noticed with the guide though, it’s missing the to do step for the shark meat quest (What do you feed a Yeti). The step to get the quest is there, and the step to turn in the quest is there, just not the step to actually do it. I didn’t notice it until I went to turn in all the quests and saw that one still needed to be done.
Help I am Confused
You state above that when you reach the champion level you will have 5 Dailies which produce 9 Seals.
I can only find 4 Dailies that produce 5 Seals.
I have examined the Champions Dailies Guide but this only appears to have 4 Champions Dailies in it.
Where do I find the 5th Daily that produces 4 more Seals.
Thanks in advance
You will receive the extra 4 from Champion’s purse reward http://www.wowhead.com/item=45724
Confirming Dugi’s reply, the Champion’s Purse has always provided an extra Champion’s Seal, ever since the start of Cataclysm. It may have been earlier, but I hadn’t done Tournament dailies in a while. (Even now, I admit that you do have to go out of your way to get them and still go do other things.
On the other hand… maybe it could help with something…
Here’s a little tip that may get you some gold, in addition to the Champion’s Seals: do the Tourney dailies, then head to Dal when complete for the day. Do a scan at the Dal auctioneer, then go around and get selected items from the Dal shopkeepers. You may get a nice gold return from auctioning the pets from the Dal pet store person. Then, you can either return to the Tourney to log off or log off right there in Dal.
Hey all,
today I hit the Crusader title, yey! ![]()
Two questions:
where can I buy the pets mentioned above?
It seems that in the Silver Covenant Pavilion all items that are sold bind when picked up.
Also, where can the heirlooms be bought (Champion’s Seals), please?
tnx.
s.
I am doing the Argent Tournament questline and I have become a champion of 2 factions and became exhalted with them and I am working on the third. I am only receiving 5 champion seals a day and I think I should be receving 9 per day after looking at the guide Dugi posted. I did do the complete pre-quest guide and have moved on to the Champions guide.
In one of Dugi’s posts he states you can receive 9. 5 From the quests + 4 from the purse.
What purse is he talking about to get the other 4 per day or what am I doing wrong as I am only getting 5 a day.
Thanks.
Keith
@Keith, you are getting 9 a day if you choose the Champions purse as your reward, check your chat log and you will see that a You received Champion Seal as soon as you open the purse.
Its a currency and not actual item that you pick up.
Nice guide.
Regarding other pets, I found out that the Black Tabby wich only Hordies can get from Spellscribes in Silverpine forest has change into another type of mobs. So the Spellscribes (rare elite) dont exsists anymore. So I found out that the Black Tabby is being sold for large prizes now. From 5000-50000gold those who where so fortunately to farm them on hordies and move them to ally fraction.
