Hi, everyone we have been quiet the last couple of weeks but that’s because we are very hard at work with putting finishing touches on the major update with Dugi’s Guide Viewer v4.1
As you may have noticed Dugi’s Guide just gets better and better with every new update and we’re moving at the speed of light!… well not quite, but we are fast ![]()
Check out the screen shot below and you will notice a couple of major features that we have been working on for a while.
The 2 new major features are
- Display of quest level with color coding.
- And the ! ? will now change color to grey if you’re not at a high enough level to accept the quest so that you will know before reaching the quest giver.
Combine these 2 features with our ‘Chain Quest Linking’ feature and you are now in complete control on how fast and how slow you want to progress. You can now gain experience points with other methods such as dungeons or PVP and you don’t have to worry about being out of sync with the guide.
If you’re using Heirloom items or playing with Recruit-A-Friend you can now also easily skip the green – grey quests that won’t give you much experience and with our ‘Chain Quest Linking’ feature you will never be out of sync with the guide.
We have been testing this feature extensively and we’re confident that these features are better than any other features that other competitor guides have to offer as you will have complete control.
From the screenshot above you may notice 2 new *censored* tabs , both these tabs are reserved for our brand new guide that is going to be released on May 19th.
All you have to do is leave a comment in this post and also ‘Guess’ the correct guide that we’re going to release

In-Game Dungeon Guide
==================================================
Because sometimes your new to a dungeon, no idea what to do and your party is full of noobs, so you try your best, when you come to a dead end of some crossroads you might not know which path to take or way to go, so use ‘Dugi’s Dungeon Guide’ it will tell you which way to go if you want to maximise your XP or just get to the boss’ quicker. Thanks For Your Time

In-Game Achievement Guide. This actually makes the most sense to be able to complete and achievement while you are in the area or at least the part pertaining to the particular area you are in. I don’t have a clue how you would go about it but I hope it would be syncronized like that, so something will pop up and say hey while you are here …

My guess will be 2. In-Game Dungeon Guide because the second tab looks like it has a ‘g’ in it.
Reply
I’m guessing In-Game Gold Guide…we all need lots of gold for our professions and mounts
I’m also guessing In-Game Dungeon Guide …those dungeons can be confusing
Reply
I’m going with Dungeon guide because you have quests for the Deadmines in your objectives on the screen shot. I also hope you’ll be implementing a professions guide and or a gold guide as well
Reply
My guess is that it’s all the above.
I think they are all great!!!

I think it is a Dungeon Guide.
Reasoning: I think it would be great to have something that you can quickly refer to when you go to a dungeon as you lvl…or even after you hit the level cap. Something that tells you the quickest way to get through a dungeon and make sure you hit all the quests/important things on the way to the end and something that tells you what to grab (quests/items), before you set out on your adventure. Its rare these days to get a dungeon as you level with people that actually know where things are in the dungeon due to the nature of random dungeon finder, so if you can help others and yourself with this guide then …YAY

Easy answer – knowing Dugi its all four

In-Game Dungeon Guide,
Reason: It makes the most sense as already stated and it would be rather handy to have a guide for all of the quests which lead to dungeons and know which ones are worth doing at that point in time.

# In-Game Achievement Guide <- because some achivements are pretty hard to do and some help would be nice ; )
# In-Game Gold Guide <- because no 1 did this before – an in-game gold guide – that would be cool (thou i dont know it it's possible)

I choose the below:
In-Game Achievement Guide
Why?
Given all the achievement and and no real guides for it this makes the most sense. Given you have visual guides/walkthru’s you have for the other options.

In-Game Gold Guide
cos money is hard to get for some ppl in wow

Hi Dugi,
I think the new guide will be an in game achievement guide just because you like to be one of the first to put out an awesome guide and there are no in game achievement guides available. Thanks for all the great guides so far and keep up the good work

For me I think it’s going to be both, the In-Game Dungeon Guide and the In-Game Achievement Guide.
Having both of these guides would be awesome! Having a dungeon guide will be so helpful for players like me that have no idea where to go or what items to get.
In-Game Achievement Guide: Having this as well would be so helpful as to where to start earning the achievement, especially the more difficult ones.
Both of these would be great!

I think it is a New ACHIEVEMENT guide – because……
many of the quests apply to achievements, you already have gold and profession guides, and they don’t always correspond with leveling.

I think that it’s going to be an In-Game Dungeon Guide.
I think this because I always get lost inside dungeons, or can’t figure out what to do. Especially in the big ones. Having a guide to easily refer to in the middle of the dungeon would be a fantastic addition to your guide. I also have a suggestion: in the future, could you possibly make some sort of loot guide for dungeons so that I can find better gear for my DK?
Thank you,
Justin Charron

I think it will be a Dungeons Guide. Players are always in need of directions and strategies, especially as they level. Also with the Cata changes to finding dungeons, this will be even more helpful!
Reply
Im going to go with the achievement guide. it would be similar to the leveling, event, and dalies guides. “go here, find a rat, /love the rat, then kill it” ect. of course there are 900 some odd achievements so it would be a pretty big guide.

1. In-Game Profession Guide
Even though I can see any of the first 3 options being a possibility for a additional guide to be added a Gold guide would be hard pressed to have added to an in-game add-on due to the enormous possibilities involved. Professions are a part of the game used to both gain Gold and Achievments in some part. As much time as it can take to level up the default professions (cooking/fishing/first aid) I think many people overlook them but do take quite a bit of time to level.

In-Game Achievement Guide!
Seriously though, I would LOVE that. Especially for all the changes that will be coming with Cata. For example, the explorer achievements… Way-point your way to Achv. points! Want that Chef title? Select that from the Dugi’s Achievement guide and once you have completed all the steps, in the easy to follow guide… Chef it is! I think this one is a no brain-er for Dugi’s Guides, we expect the best and always get it, this would be no less.
What a great addition to Dugi’s! Seems like EVERYONE has a Gold guide or a Profession guide. Let’s face it Dugi’s is about being useful, not about recreating the wheel. Who has an in game Achievement guide??? Dugi’s will that’s who, and the only who!
Thanks Dugi!!!!

Hey Dugi
I think the next guide will be an ingame profession guide. I think the dungeon guide would be a bit overkill and would only really be helpful in a limited number of dungeons. A profession guide on the other hand would be immensely helpful to everyone.
Thanks, Eli

I do believe it would be an in-game profession guide or Dungeon guide
Both make sense–
However an in-game profession guide would make more sense and very convenient since I wouldn’t have to keep Alt-Tabbing to check the website for advice. It also would be nice to somehow implement built-in in-game farming nodes such as mining, herbalism, etc. So I can auto track in-game instead of guessing where they are based on your great mining guide. Dungeon guides would make some sense… but with low level instances it would be pointless since everyone in the game pretty much knows the way to every boss, and things such as Deadly Boss Mods pretty much covers every raid boss. I’d really like to see a in-game profession guide rather than anything else, so i dont struggle with blacksmithing and mining anymore ;p
Thanks,
-Eric

I am guessing In-Game Achievement Guide because it is something different and a lot of poeple would use it.
Reply
I think it will be an in game achievement guide.
There is not a lot to do after you gear up at 80, and many players farm achievements for titles and mounts. It would make the most sense to make a guide for where the majority of players are, and an achievement guide is something that hasn’t been done before.

IN-game dungeon guide
Reply
I think it is an all-in-one guide – it will be an in-game guide that has leveling, professions, achievements, dungeons, events, dailies, and battlegrounds. the name of this awesome new guide will be “Dugi’s You Can’t Top This Ultimate WoW Guide”.
Reply
I believe it will be a number 2 the dungeon guide because we do not have an in-game dungeon guide which would help everyone Level though the dungeons and pickup weapons and armor items quicker.
I could be wrong the in game achievement guide would be great after you hit lvl 80.
Thank you for all your hard work and great guides.

I think its the In-Game Dungeon Guide because i think i can slightly see dungeons in the blurred tab

Hey Dugi , i think its the In-Game Profession Guide , this would help lots of players get their professions maxed .

I believe it is an In-Game Dungeon Guide, for a few reasons.
1st, with the new looking for group option, once you hit level 15, you really do not need to run standard quests as much (except when you are waiting for your next group to become available)
2nd, Dungeon Running is a very fun (and profitable) way to spend your time after completing your dailies.
3rd, I enjoy heroic dungeon running to farm emblems of triumph, which makes leveling with your questing guide even quicker once I have my heirloom gear!
In any case, ANY guide you come out with will be an AWESOME addition to my arsenal, making all of my friends wonder how I’m kicking their butts in gold making, and leveling. And when they ask, I always tell them, Dugi didit!

I think its going to b all the guides because dugi is the best

Dugi — looks to me to be a gold guide — reasoning? The link on your Facebook page where you say you have a new guide coming is “Ultimate Gold Guide” — oversight? or clever misdirection?
Reply
its was mistake on my part I forgot to change the title of the page, and Ultimate Gold Guide was a default title from our template. So don’t make your choice based on that.. but I’m also not saying that its not a gold guide or is it?…

My pick is the In-Game Profession Guide. It is really difficult to get some of the recipes and this guide would be a big help.
Reply
It is for sure going to be the in-game dungeon guide. It would be perfect for people like me who aren’t sure of the fastest, most efficient path to take in order to collect needed items, quests, and get to the boss faster. A dungeon loot guide would go along perfectly, especially for new gear. Also, the guide would probably tell you what you need to grab before you set off. Some of the more obvious reasons for this guide would be that it gains experience (unlike the gold and profession options) and that runs can be very profitable. I think the in game dungeon guide is the most beneficial guide because you gain experience, make gold, get new gear, and have fun. Theres no doubt in my mind that it will be the dungeon guide….unless its going to be all four(please)!!!

I have to go with the In Game Dungeon Guide~
Reply
I think it will be the Dungeon Guide. This guide is an integral part to leveling and securing gear not seen outside the Dungeons.
Reply
I think its the gold guide. There are heaps of dungeon and proffesion guide out there for free but not gold guides.
Reply
I would lean towards a Dungeon Guide.
Reasoning:
It would go along with leveling but also, notice that the last tab has two words in it. Through the masking you can almost make out what appears to be the word on the next to last tab as “Dungeon” and on the last tab as something long the lines of “Dungeon Maps” or something close.

I think it will be the In-Game Achievement Guide.
It is very annoying to have to do a print screen of achievements that require multiple quests etc. to be completed, and then to keep alt+tabbing out of the game to go to a wow info website to get additional info.

Yo Dugi!
Answer:The Achievement guide.
Reason:Makes the most sense(to me),and it would probably be the coolest thing to have in a game. There are no others, and it would be very helpful. And probably everyone would like it.
Reply
I think it is the profession guides, which makes the most sense me!
Reply
i say its the profession guide, because you guys are just awseome like that!
Reply
i would think that the first one is “gold guide beacause
1. In-Game Profession Guide
2. In-Game Dungeon Guide
3. In-Game Achievement Guide
4. In-Game Gold Guide
then they other is too big too be there
and the next one i would think is the proffesion guide beacause
that the wow players in most case don’t need an dungeon guide and if one of your team mades is relly bad you risk too get killed specely in raids
the achiment guide can’t you make unleas you use 2 years. at one exampel there is an achiment “loremaster of kalimdore” that mean that you should do 700 quest in kalimdore and there is too an achiment to easten kingdom!

My vote is for an Achievemnet Guide. All of them would be good choices (though Profession and Gold have been DONE and Done and done…). Dungeon guide would be helpful but Deadly Boss Mods really covers that. No One (that I know of) has an Achievement GUIDE. Achievement Lists, yes. Guides no. So that’s my vote (and Hope). Thanks!

Hiya Dugi,
I think those tab is being reserved for profession guide and achievement guide.
Nothing like that exist in the in game guide market.
Reply
I would like to see an achievement guide also. As has been posted, the others have been rinsed and repeated. An achievement guide would be bold and fresh.
Reply
In-Game Dungeon Guide
The only one who does not need any kind of server requirments… like if the proffession guide would need some mats
that does not exist on AH and some Gold seller are just running around and mining or herbing or whatevar before you get there.. The dungeon guide will be the most independent
Thumbs up Dugi

tons of great suggestions here, some people are completely spot on. Keep them coming!

Going with Achievement Guide.
Reply
I think it will be all four of the options, because that would just be awsome and would make many people cry with joy. :’)

I would suggest the in-game gold guide. The gold guide cannot really help much for the in-game achievement guide.
But, i feel that including the in-game achievement guide will incline less people to buy your guide. I feel that most players will want to buy your guide to help them with hard to grasp concepts, like making gold.
Although an in game profession guide and an in-game dungeon guide are legitimate ideas, both can be done thoroughly with money.
